Dear Discovery Cluster Users:

Users in the last couple of days some users have started submitting 1000's of jobs to the slurm partitions on Discovery Cluster. In this scenario there will be need to limit how many jobs a user can submit. I want to avoid doing this. Please do not submit more than 500 jobs at a given time. For example one user has 6532 jobs PENDING.

Please check your submit scripts and submit no more than 500 jobs at a given time. With nearly 900 users having thousands of jobs pending slows down the scheduler.

If this persists every user will need to have a job submit limit enforced, unfortunately.
