Dear Discovery Cluster Users:

We will be migrating to SLURM on Discovery Cluster from 5.00PM, August 31, 2016.

In preparation of this all LSF queues will be closed at 5.00PM, August 30, 2016.

Please ensure all your LSF jobs complete by 5.00PM, August 31, 2016 at which time LSF will be turned off on the cluster.

There will be training seminars scheduled exclusively for SLURM on August 12, 18, 25 and September 1, 2016. We will also be available exclusively for SLURM issues everyday - Monday to Friday - from August 29 to September 30, 2016 in our offices at 2 Ell Hall (behind the NEU bookstore) between 2pm and 4pm.

The documentation on SLURM for interactive and batch runs for the MPI versions (IBM Platform MPI - default for all software except otherwise noted, MPICH and OpenMPI - for certain programs only) supported on the Cluster and for TCP, IPOIB and RDMA runs is available here - http://nuweb12.neu.edu/rc/?page_id=18 .

With SLURM "matlab-2016a" is to be used, "matlab-2013b" will no longer work.

All of the over 180 software modules on the cluster have been now be configured and tested to work with SLURM.
