The Glass Lab (
www.theglasslab.org) is currently recruiting a postdoctoral
fellow at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences. This is a two-year, National Science Foundation funded postdoctoral position to investigate the evolution of ice-binding proteins in intertidal invertebrates. The overall
objective of the project is to describe the extent to which IBP production exists and is environmentally correlated across select lineages of intertidal invertebrates that inhabit the Arctic and subarctic. This includes generating genomic and transcriptomic
datasets of several species. The project includes fieldwork, labwork, comparative genomic analysis, coordinating specimen collection across the United States, and engaging with graduate and undergraduate students, faculty, community members, and other postdocs
at UAF.
