Hello Discovery users,


Temperatures in the datacenter have returned to normal and all RC systems have been restored. The Discovery Cluster is now back online.


We would like to thank the MGHPCC crew for their continued efforts during this downtime.


Here is a brief timeline of events around this unexpected outage:


Tuesday 4/12:

  *   Cooling disruption in the datacenter forced servers to be powered off for all universities at MGHPCC

Wednesday 4/13:

  *   MGHPCC diagnosed the root cause of the cooling disruption
  *   MGHPCC resolved the cooling issue and addressed the root-cause

Thursday 4/14:

  *   MGHPCC has augmented procedures and verified their success
  *   ALL-CLEAR to power servers back up
