Dear Colleagues,

I'm teaching an introduction to comparative literature course this spring, and plan to include a brief unit on DH. Might you be able to help me identify some relatively short readings I could assign?  It could also be some kind of interactive web thingy. I realize that the idea of getting all of the following features in one short text is quixotic, but here is the list:
  • an overview of the kinds of work DHists do
  • a sense of the kinds of tools DHists use
  • the benefits of DHist approaches
  • the role DH might play in the future of literary studies
Given the nature of the course, a comparative perspective would be ideal, but it's not really necessary.

I don't know whether the members of this list would be interested in having this discussion onlist, so please feel free to email me offlist. If there is interest, I can post a summary of suggestions to the list later.

Many thanks in advance for any suggestions you might have!
