Hello Discovery Users, Following the recent and rapid response of the administration to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19, we wanted to make you formally aware of some changes in the services provided by Research Computing (RC). In accordance with university guidelines, the RC team is now working remotely (away from campus) and remains available during regular business hours. The team will continue to respond to all issues and requests, as well as provide consultations and training. * All consultations will be conducted online until further notice. These remain personal one-on-one consultations with a member of our staff. RC is using Microsoft Teams, a video conferencing application. The staff member will set up the conference link and then send the link to you via email before the consultation. RC consultations can be booked through our Bookings page<https:[log in to unmask]>. * All scheduled training through April 1 will be virtual. The Training signup<https://www.eventbrite.com/o/northeastern-university-research-computing-26694757351> page has been updated with this information. We will send out a link to the online training to all registered attendees prior to the session. Do not go to the room originally listed on the event page. * If you are teaching this term, the resources on Discovery can be made available to your class. An FAQ page on using Discovery for your classroom can be found here<https://rc-docs.northeastern.edu/en/latest/classroom/class_use.html>. Because students are able to access these resources remotely, this may be a valuable resource to you and your students. * For issues, questions, concerns, or suggestions, please use our ServiceNow catalog<http://northeastern.service-now.com/research> or email us at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]> to automatically create a ticket. As a reminder, the annual MGHPCC shutdown is scheduled for June 3, 2020. This is the yearly scheduled maintenance of the facility that includes a complete powering down of all equipment. We will make sure to send periodic reminders of this event as we approach the deadline. At the present time, there are no plans to change this deadline.
