Dear all, 

Please join the Digital Scholarship Group at Northeastern University in welcoming Digital Humanities Scholars visiting us from Japan.  Dr. Kiyonori Nagasaki and his graduate student, Naoki Kokaze, will present on Digital Humanities in Japan and some recent additions to the Text Encoding Initiative Guidelines.

Their presentations will take place on Tuesday, March 3rd at 3:00pm in the Digital Scholarship Commons Seminar Space, Snell Library 211 (Northeastern University, 360 Huntington Ave., Boston).

Dr.  Nagasaki is the chair of the Japanese Association of Digital Humanities and a Senior Fellow at the International Institute for Digital Humanities.  
Naoki Kokaze is one of the principle authors of the TEI's new <unitDecl> system for describing non-standard units, including information for conversions to standard units.
