Design: speculation, computation and technology |
Thursday, Nov 14 12:00 pm 1:30 pm
320 RY Lunch available Open to all |
We live in a time
where innovation is outpacing our ability to process its social/environmental implications. It seems that the future is being designed and realized faster than ever. Moreover art and
design are playing an increasingly central role in designing, rendering and implementing these futures.
Joins us and Benedikt Groί as he talks about design as a vehicle to explore new roles, contexts and approaches in relation
to the social, cultural and ethical implications of emerging and future technologies. In hist projects, Benedikt explores
technology as the material
and will take us through several excursions of related bits and pieces that he is currently exploring.
