Dear colleagues,

If you teach or support instruction and are curious about the role of Wikipedia in higher education, please sign up for a Wikipedia in the Classroom Workshop. The workshops will be held in Boston University’s Mugar Library in the Estin Room (302) on the 3rd floor.

The workshop will be offered twice, on:

September 12, 2019, 2:00-4:00pm

and

September 13, 2019, 10:00am-12:00pm

Wikipedia editing has proven to be useful in academic courses, can serve as a form of service learning, and can lead to new informal communities of interest on campus.

In this workshop we will:

Share some of the research and projects related to Wikipedia in higher education

Go behind the scenes to see how Wikipedia works

Do some hands-on editing in Wikipedia

Discuss your questions with faculty and staff who are using Wikipedia at BU

No experience is necessary. Please join us for the entire event, or stop by for part. Space is limited, so please register by clicking on the date and time that works for you.

This event will be presented by faculty and staff from Boston University Libraries, BU CAS Writing Program, Boston University School of Medicine, and Wiki Education.

Hope to see you there!

Best wishes,

Laura
