Subject: Boston-Area Digital Scholarship Symposium at Harvard University, April 10, 2019

Hello, BostonDH!

I am excited to share with you that Harvard University is hosting the first annual Boston-Area Digital Scholarship Symposium on April 10 at the newly-renovated Smith Campus Center. This event brings together scholars from the greater Boston area to share their work in digital scholarship. The focus of this year’s symposium is “Institutional Models of Collaborative Support.” Digital scholarship is inherently collaborative, and researchers embracing these methods operate in a complex network and depend on extensive institutional infrastructure. The Symposium will explore how institutions can support, encourage, and preserve digital scholarship and pedagogy.

The event will feature talks, panel discussions, and poster presentations. Invited speakers are affiliated with Boston College, Boston University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Northeastern University, and Tufts University. More information is available on the event website (https://harvard-dssg.github.io/boston-area-dss/).

Additionally, please find a call for posters for graduate students and university staff at https://harvard-dssg.github.io/boston-area-dss/about; the deadline for submitting poster proposals is March 15.

Register here (tickets limited).

Please do not hesitate to reach out to Rashmi Singhal, Marty Schreiner, or your local organizer if you have any questions!

On behalf of the organizing committee:
