Hello All,

(with apologies for cross-posting)

Please save the date for our annual event hosted by the Digital Scholarship Group<https://dsg.neu.edu/> (Northeastern University Library) and the NULab Center for Texts, Maps, and Networks<https://web.northeastern.edu/nulab/> (College of Social Sciences and Humanities). It will be in Room 90 in Snell Library on October 30th from 3 to 5 p.m.

The Scholarship Celebration will feature a keynote by Dr. Laura Nelson, associate professor of sociology at Northeastern University. Dr. Nelson's talk, entitled Machine Learning is Feminist, argues that "machine learning can not only be used in feminist ways, it is, down to its most basic assumptions, a feminist framework."

The keynote will be preceded by a series of lightning talks presenting research from the Northeastern community doing digital projects in English, history, computer science, network science, journalism, and more.

Join us to learn about projects and methods in digital scholarship and meet others interested in or practicing digital scholarship from the Northeastern and Boston DH community.

Please RSVP here: https://northeastern.libcal.com/calendar/snell/DSGFallScholarshipCelebration

I look forward to seeing you there!

Best,

Mahala
