Please join the Center for the Study of Humanities, Culture & Society (CHCS) and the American Studies Department at the University of Massachusetts Boston as we welcome author, Ryan Walsh, to come speak about his latest book, Astral Weeks: A Secret History of 1968. This work explores the backstory behind Van Morrison's rock album and dives into the fascinating history, culture, and characters of Boston's 1968 music scene, fifty years later. Walsh completed his book, in part, through research done at The Allan MacDougall Popular Culture Archive, housed within CHCS, right on the University of Massachusetts Boston's campus.

Walsh will be speaking on Wednesday, November 14th at 2:00 PM in the Campus Center Bay View Room (CC 3540). This event is in conjunction with CHCS's fall theme "1968: 50 Years Since."

We hope that you will be able to join us!
